Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has generated a lot of interest among techies, as well as among regular users.
In a recent Asia-Pacific mobile forum held in the Philippines, Nokia regional officers gave a preview of what the N95 has in store for the prospective users.
Memory
N95 has upto 160 megabits (MB) internal dynamic memory for messages, ring tones, images, video clips, calendar notes, to-do list and applications. For users who love to store huge volumes of data, there is a memory card slot that can support up to 2 gigabytes.
Connectivity
For connectivity, N95 offers different options. It has an integrated Bluetooth, wireless local area network and universal plug play. It has a USB mini interface which allows mass storage and drag and drop functionality. With Bluetooth technology, N95 users can send and receive images, video clips, graphics, and business cards.
As for the operating frequency, N95 is a tn-band global system for mobile communications (GSM) operating on 850,1800 and 1900 frequencies. The N95 also has the capability to operate on the wideband code division multiple accesses (WCDMA) 2100, otherwise known as the high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA).
Messaging
Besides the usual SMS messaging, is MMS messaging capable, allowing users to combine image, video, text and audio clip and send it to a phone or PC with compatible standards. There is also dual transfer mode support to help users simultaneous connection in voice data.
Entertainment
N95 has a 3.5 mm stereo headphone plug and TV out support. It also has Java-based application which allows a user to download games using the Java platform.The user can view the data and images with a large screen (24 x 320 pixels) complemented by a TFT display ambient light detector and up to million colors. With the Carl Zeiss optics on its 5 mega pixel camera with digital zoom, N95 also allows you to capture high quality pictures and video clips (60 mm. max) that can be enjoyed a compatible television.
